Honda has begun deliveries of the 2013 Fit EV ( earlier post ), with the first going to the city of Torrance today as one of the first major steps in the Honda Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program. Honda and the city will continue to further these initiatives while also studying local government fleet usage of an electrified vehicle.

Honda Motor Company will introduce a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and a new plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) to the US market in 2012, said President & CEO Takanobu Ito in his mid-year address in Tokyo, Japan. Ito said that Honda will also expand the lineup of its models equipped with the IMA hybrid system.

The Vegatron is a Honda Dio look alike. It has a 3 kW motor - and is zippy. My hypothesis is that the likes of Kinetic Honda and later on Activa killed the Bajaj simply because they had flat floorboards. Unofficially it has a 1 kW motor. The Rame is a high speed model with a 2 kW motor. 1 Ah is 3600 Coulomb.
