Neste is the first company in Finland to provide a service for companies and other organizations to monitor their climate emissions caused by the use of transport fuels. Road transport accounts for more than 90% of the total transport emissions in Finland.

The plant is to be built by Koppö Energia Oy, a joint venture company between Germany’s Prime Green Energy Infrastructure Fund and CPC Finland Oy, in Kristinestad, Finland. It will have a capacity of 200 MW and will convert green electricity into hydrogen and sustainable LSM. The FEED will be booked by Wärtsilä in Q3, 2023.

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) are beginning testing of the Soletair demo plant, which uses air-captured carbon dioxide to produce renewable fuels and chemicals. Phase 1: Renewable energy. The system produces high-purity hydrogen gas at elevated pressures.

The technology group Wärtsilä, and its collaborators WEC Energy Group, (WEC), the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and Burns & McDonnell (B&McD), have been contracted to carry out hydrogen fuel testing at the A.J. hydrogen mixed with natural gas, thus demonstrating the capability of the plant to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. .%

Preem, the largest fuel company in Sweden, and Vattenfall have concluded an agreement to investigate the potential Vattenfall’s providing of hydrogen gas in the large scale production of biofuel for the Swedish market. Vattenfall can provide hydrogen gas required for the production of drop-in biofuels.
