ORNL demos 20 kW bi-directional wireless charging on UPS PHEV truck; 11" air gap, >92% efficiency

XALT Energy to supply Li-ion packs to Efficient Drivetrains for PHEVs

XALT Energy and Efficient Drivetrains (EDI) announced a tentative agreement through which XALT will supply EDI with its NMC graphite Lithium-ion battery energy storage packs for use in EDI’s PHEV PowerDrive and electric power export solutions. Mercedes-Benz Cars starts production of PHEV batteries in Bangkok; 3rd plant in global battery production network

Mercedes-Benz Cars has opened a factory for plug-in hybrid (PHEV) batteries in the Bangkok region in Thailand. The aim is a carbon neutral new car fleet until 2039. The plant works closely with the Mercedes-Benz Energy GmbH. The new plant is the third production facility in the company’s global battery production network.
