Chevrolet will start selling the Spark EV in Maryland this spring, the electric mini-car’s first entry into the East Coast market. Chevrolet requires service training certification before a dealer is authorized to sell the Spark EV because of its unique propulsion system.

Depending on an individual’s tax situation, the Spark EV ( earlier post ) is eligible for federal tax credit up to $7,500. California and Maryland Spark EV owners may also qualify for a $2,500 California state rebate or $2,300 Maryland excise tax exemption.
