I wrangled a few hours of charging back in December from Bob Hayden, the SF Department of the Environment's EV Czar. San Francisco's Department of the Environment just received its first LEAF, which now uses one of these spaces. Juice flows. A threat taken seriously in San Francisco. Take that every way it can be taken.

According to the Department for Business, the average cost for standard electricity in the UK in 2020 was 17.2p/kWh. That rate would give the LEAF a cost of 17.2 * 24 to drive 100 miles. Then as the sun sets in the West, hopefully the battery pack would have enough juice to power the house for the rest of the evening. .

In the coming decade, battery prices will go down, whereas the cost of petrol will keep going up. Not because they are inexpensive to run, not because they are better for the environment, but because they are superior machines compared to the ones that run on dinosaur juice. These are the real facts. More convenient.

Throw in costs of the driver, electricity and maintenance, that would mean a minimum revenue required of Rs. Guests are not allowed to get their dogs along, so Jungle Hut environments are deer friendly. The price point is such that the cab operator would have to be charge at least Rs. 15 to 20 per km to recover investments.
