So our solar cell can convert any light energy to electrical energy. And now, we use the electrons to light the lamp or a motor or whatever we do with it.

Laser altimetry’s problems would seem to have no connection to aircraft-based IPR surveys. We had to start with a blank slate to develop a system that was small and light enough to fit on an inexpensive UAV. We knew we couldn’t do the IPR with off-the-shelf systems. The later and final versions I fabricated as printed circuit boards.
