Alstom held a world premiere event on Sunday celebrating its Coradia iLint hydrogen fuel cell train ( earlier post ) rolling into service in Lower Saxony, Germany. The new trains will be fueled at a mobile hydrogen filling station. From today onwards, two such trains will enter commercial service according to a fixed timetable.

The hydrogen for the trains will be provided by the Linde Group. LNVG will purchase the Coradia iLint trains for its own vehicle pool and will then rent them to a railway operator.
