The vision is fuelled by the fear of climate change and the need to find green alternatives to dirty coal, unpopular nuclear power and unreliable gas imports from Russia. Aren’t we just exchanging one nonrenewable resource for another? Oil is the alternative. There are only 3 or 4 countries with lithium.
