The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $5 million to the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) to help Southern truckers and small businesses to buy cleaner big rigs. The Clean Trucks Make Cents program will finance up to 100% of the purchase or lease of a pre-2007 tractor-trailer.

The California Air Resources Board approved the Advanced Clean Cars II (ACC II) rule. The regulation applies to automakers (not dealers) and covers only new vehicle sales. They include: Clean Cars 4 All provides up to $9,500 to low-income drivers who scrap their older vehicles and want to purchase something that runs cleaner.

California EV Incentives Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (CVRP) On the state level, California has a number of programs aimed at incentivizing EV purchases. Qualified residents can receive grants of up to $5,000 in buy-down assistance and special financing, plus free vehicle charging and installation.
