(DFL) and the City of Xiangyang today announced that the Xiangyang plant in Hubei Province, China, has been selected as the local production site for Infiniti. Nissan’s joint venture company in China, will manufacture two Infiniti models starting in 2014. The plant, operated by Dongfeng Motor Co.,

Chinese startup EV-maker Nio, so far known for its SUVs, its supercar, and a race car, followed a similar path with a new fastback sedan. Karma launched two new models, including a plug-in hybrid SUV and an electric sports car.

Nissan unveiled the Nissan Sylphy Zero Emission, Nissan’s first electric car made in China for Chinese consumers, at Auto China 2018 in Beijing. The Sylphy offers a drive range of 338 kilometers (210 miles), according to official Chinese standards, based on SMVIC results referencing NEDC standards and depending on driving conditions.
