Luxembourg bus operator orders five Volvo 7900 plug-in hybrid buses; ABB fast chargers

Volvo has received an order for 5 Volvo 7900 plug-in hybrid electric buses ( earlier post ) from bus operator AVL (Autobus de la ville de Luxembourg). The five buses and chargers will be delivered towards the end of this year; one of the bus chargers will be placed at the central station in Luxembourg.

EEA: no improvements on average CO2 emissions from new cars registered in 2017 in Europe

Brussels Airlines receives first delivery of Neste SAF to Brussels Airport via CEPS pipeline

The CEPS also delivers jet fuel to major civil airports such as Brussels, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Schiphol and Zurich. Brussels Airlines aims to emit 50% less CO 2 by 2030 compared to 2019, to become carbon neutral by 2050, and to operate its first flight using SAF by 2023.

Volvo Buses officially launching plug-in 7900 Electric Hybrid; up to 75% reduction in fuel consumption

The plug-in technology reduces fuel consumption and carbon dioxide by up to 75%, compared to a conventional diesel bus. Three Volvo Electric Hybrids have run in a field test in Gothenburg the past year, a test which has verified the reduction in energy consumption and emissions. Total energy consumption is reduced by 60%.
