Neste plans to start selling diesel produced entirely from renewable raw materials at selected stations in Finland around the turn of the year. 100% Neste Renewable Diesel is used in California, where it helps cities and counties to reduce traffic-related greenhouse gas emissions.

Sales of Neste MY will begin at Neste service stations in Finland, namely Espoo Piispanmäki, Vantaa Ilmakehä, Helsinki Konala, Espoo Otaniemi, Espoo Olari and Vantaa Varisto. During January, sales of Neste MY will also expand to select Neste Truck stations for heavy traffic in Finland.

Under the new Global Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Zero-Emission Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles (ZE-MHDVs), Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay and Wales are setting an interim goal of 30% zero-emission new vehicle sales by 2030.

In 126 “mystery shopper” experiences at 82 car dealerships across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, the team found that that dealers were dismissive of EVs; misinformed shoppers on vehicle specifications; omitted EVs from the sales conversation; and strongly oriented customers towards gasoline and diesel vehicle options.
