Researchers from London South Bank University (LSBU), School of the Built Environment and Architecture, are investigating the use of metal hydrides to absorb, release and store hydrogen for fuel cell buses. Thermal management for charging and releasing hydrogen from the storage system needs to be optimized to increase overall efficiency.

The goal of the ZEV standard is to incentivize automobile manufacturers to build more models and use increasingly efficient low-carbon technology. Those manufacturers will have the option of purchasing credits to avoid paying the regulatory charges set out in the regulation or hold the credits for their future needs.
