The 2024 Model Y (Source: Tesla) Tesla has slashed the prices of its Model Y across Europe this morning, after it reduced prices of its Model 3 and Model Y prices in China to undercut BYD, according to CNBC. In Germany, Tesla reduced the price of its Model Y Long Range by €5,000 to €49,990 ($54,340), a discount of 9%.

But now it too is dramatically slashing prices on its ID line of electric vehicles in Europe, following Tesla’s price cuts for the top-selling Model 3 and Model Y. Last October, the company reported a slowdown in EV orders, but said it would stay the course with its pricing model, regardless of what rivals were doing.

Following the Electric Vehicle partnership announced in February 2010, Avis has signed a pre-order for 500 Electric Vehicles from Renault. Avis will offer its customers the chance to experience driving an electric vehicle for hire in the following countries: France, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and Portugal.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has begun production of its European-spec i-MiEV new-generation electric vehicle along with production of PSA Peugeot Citroën’s (PSA) Peugeot iOn and Citroën C-ZERO at its Mizushima Plant. The new model 40-foot Van Hool transit buses are lighter than the earlier generation fuel cell bus, which rolled out in 2007 and continues to operate on various routes in Greater Hartford, including the free downtown Star Shuttle route. Van Hool of Belgium is one of the world’s largest bus and coach manufacturers.
