Buzz prototype testing; the pre-production fleet is currently touring Europe. These are final test runs under everyday conditions between Barcelona, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Hamburg and Hannover. The battery supplies a 150 kW (201 horsepower) electric motor that is integrated in and drives the rear axle.

Launched at the British International Motor Show in July 2008 ( earlier post ) and voted Electric Car of the Year at the Green Fleet awards, the MyCar electric vehicle is now on sale at evstores in London. kWh, 48V lead AGM battery pack powers a 3.73 Maximum range is 70 miles (112 km), with a top speed of 40 mph (64 km/h).

According to the London Mayor’s office, 23% of pedestrian and 58% of cyclist deaths in London involved a Heavy Goods Vehicle, despite HGVs making up only 4% of road miles in London. Prodrive will help develop the design into a drivable demonstrator by early summer 2020. ?.

Thanks in large part to Mayor "Red Ken" Livingstone, who enacted London's much criticized congestion charge policy in 2003. Smith also won the fleet management contract, renewable annually, to maintain and service the new vehicles for Sainsbury’s. The vehicles will be deployed in Sainsbury’s Online grocery delivery service in London and will make Sainsbury’s one of the largest operator of commercial electric vehicles in the UK.
