Van Hool ships first CX45E electric coach to the US; 10 more to follow in 1H 2021; Proterra batteries, Siemens traction system

Van Hool, an independent Belgian manufacturer of buses, coaches and industrial vehicles, has shipped the first CX45E, a 100% battery electric coach, to the US. The all-electric CX45E will then be delivered to two North American customers. The CX45E is a fully electric powered coach for the North American market.

MAN eTGE battery-electric van to be mass-produced from July onwards

Providing a range of up to 160 kilometers and a payload of 950 to 1,700 kg, the electric MAN eTGE is suited for urban tasks, depending on the type approval (3.5 A 40 kW charging station fills a battery up to 80% in 45 minutes.

Volvo Cars opens order books for new electric C40 Recharge

The propulsion system consists of twin electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear axle, powered by a 78 kWh battery that can be fast-charged to 80% in about 40 minutes. By 2030, it plans for every car it sells to be pure electric. That means it will continue to improve over time after it has left the factory.
