Cadillac introduces the 2014 ELR extended range electric vehicle

Cadillac unveiled the anticipated 2014 ELR extended range electric (EREV) vehicle (based on the Converj concept, earlier post ) at the North American International Auto Show. Mountain mode automatically adjusts the system to provide needed power in mountainous environments when vehicle performance could otherwise be compromised.

GM China to introduce more than 60 new models and upgrades over next 5 years; focus on electrification and sustainable mobility

Later this year, GM China will offer the Chevrolet Volt extended-range electric vehicle. A drivable version will be introduced following Auto Shanghai 2011. GM will introduce a next generation of the EN-V, which was a centerpiece of its display at Expo 2010, for testing in a real-world environment.
