This version had mounting tabs that fit well with the bolt holes from the original kit. I purchased the pre-machined calipers above from the classified section over at 914world.com. These lines are from Schucks Auto Supply part number PAE312. The right tab hole lines up with the bolt in the upper right corner of the battery box.

Electro Auto e-mailed me again today to say that the battery racks and boxes have shipped and should arrive on Tuesday! I ran out and purchased several 1-guage pre-constructed battery cables from Napa today to wire the batteries together, but they were very expensive (16 of them at $12.95 I'm curious what else is in this shipment.

I find out this morning from Ross Cunniff (who also recently completed the 914 AC kit), that he has had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with his CCPower DC-DC converter. Since I finished the first kit, Electro Auto didn't want to replace my unit because they wanted me to find out more information before I simply blew up another one.

Everything remaining can be purchased elsewhere. On minor disappointment is that the cable supplied in the kit is #2 gauge cable. I suppose the AC kit doesn't require as much current as the DC kit, but I'll take all the efficiency I can get at this point. We shall see what awaits.

My ramblings on the 2022 EV scene I have an electric cycle, which is an eAdicct conversion kit added to a Schnell 26 inch cycle. It was such an ice breaker and conversation starter. My blog unearthed a lot of the inner workings on that vehicle. Let's hope we can understand the OLA too! The car was amazing. Loved it to bits.

Is an auto buff - and has owned cars of all sorts. The tractor is going to be for the new 35 acre farm that he has purchased year ago. I guess if you are paying 10 lakh more for 100 km of added range, you must really have long distance in mind when you purchase an MG. He had flown down to join us. It’s a Zen feeling.
