Ford Motor Company and Microsoft Corp. announced at the New York International Auto Show that they are teaming up to implement the Microsoft Hohm energy management application for Ford’s electric vehicles. Ford is the first automaker to announce the planned use of Hohm, starting with the Focus Electric next year.

This author recently saw a beige 2002 Ford Windstar with 168,000 miles priced at $9,995, fer chrissakes.

With 745,997 cars and light duty trucks sold in September, according to Autodata, sales were down 22.7% Data: Autodata. In September, Ford reported a 6% drop in sales year-on-year. Ford estimates it gained over 2 points of market share versus last year in September and the third quarter. Tags: Hybrids Sales.
