In Germany, Audi is extending its trade-in bonus for customers who switch from diesel-powered cars that meet the Euro 1 through Euro 4 emissions standards to an Audi that meets the Euro 6 standard. Approval of the bonus is granted directly through the Audi dealerships without customers having to make separate applications.

The first official photos and details of the 2016 Audi Q7 have now been released, including specifications for a diesel plug-in hybrid model. Audi says the Q7 e-tron quattro is "the world''s first plug-in hybrid with a six-cylinder diesel engine and quattro all-wheel drive."

Audi has revealed more details of its second major plug-in hybrid drivetrain, set to appear first in the upcoming Audi A8 e-tron luxury sedan. The German automaker has chosen to go down the diesel route with its larger plug-in hybrid setup, which Auto Express reveals will use a new 3.0-liter liter V-6 diesel.
