The Governors of California, Oregon and Washington and the Premier of British Columbia signed a regional agreement strategically to align policies to reduce greenhouse gases and promote clean energy. Oregon will build on existing programs to set a price on carbon emissions. Continue deployment of high-speed rail across the region.

Residents of the “Mountain State” only purchased 309 EVs (195 BEVs and 114 PHEVs) last year, while Californian’s purchased 120,793.

Electric school buses equipped with vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology also have tremendous potential as “batteries on wheels” that can store electricity and provide it to the grid or to buildings when needed. Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Washington, and Vermont are adopting the same rules.

The loan will finance the Caithness Shepherds Flat wind project, an 845 MW wind-powered electrical generating facility located in eastern Oregon sponsored by Caithness Energy LLC and General Electric (GE) Energy Financial Services. The wind farm is the first in North America to deploy these turbines, which have been used in Europe and Asia.

Nashville, home of Nissan Americas headquarters and the plants that assemble both LEAF and its battery. Illinois provides a $4,000 state tax incentive for purchases and reduced registration fees.
