Hy24, the world’s largest clean hydrogen infrastructure investment platform, led the round with €70 million. The Air Resources Board re-adopted a Low Carbon Fuel Standard ( LCFS ), which requires a 10% reduction by 2020 in the carbon intensity of transportation fuels. The program requires that transportation fuels used in California meet a baseline target for carbon intensity which is reduced each year.

Currently, only alternative fuel vehicles are exempt from the London Congestion Charge. This would encourage drivers to consider greener alternatives and would no longer show a strong bias towards hybrid cars unless their emissions were low. Volvo believes the principal of hybrid cars being exempt from the charge is outdated.
