The Supervisory Board of Porsche AG has decided to manufacture the next generation of the Macan as a fully electric series. This will be the first all-electric compact SUV from Porsche, and is due to roll off the assembly line in the Leipzig site at the start of the next decade. Current generation Macan.

In preparation for production of the fully-electric BMW i4, BMW Group Plant Munich will pause vehicle production for six weeks this summer. Plant Munich will take advantage of this break in production to implement numerous structural and remodeling measures before the fully-electric BMW i4 goes into standard production next year.
