We and our colleagues at Astrobotic , a small Pittsburgh-based business founded in 2007, are on a mission to make space accessible to the world. This grid is designed to deliver power where it’s needed via a fleet of robotic rovers. On Earth, solar panels are typically installed on a horizontal or near-horizontal surface.

Laredo Bus Facility Solar Canopies: Provide shade structures with integrated, grid tied photovoltaic cells to be erected on the bus storage lot at the Laredo Bus Maintenance Facility. The largest PV installation in Georgia. The project includes quick-charging stations at this terminal layover in route to recharge bus batteries.

Only PHEVs and battery EVs get cleaner as they get older - because the electric grid gets cleaner every decade.

One of the biggest challenges to the nations power grid "is going to be the introduction of electric vehicles," said Dana Christiansen, associate director of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, which has partnered with Nissan, TVA and the state of Tennessee to help develop the charging infrastructure to support the vehicles.
