That car was the 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line, and I managed to find one in a Denver-area car graveyard recently. Our nameless reviewer felt , back in 2006, that the Vue's panel gaps made it the "automotive equivalent of a shotgun shack" and calculated that the Green Line version would require 90,000 miles of driving with $2.15/gallon

(PAG) has terminated its discussions with General Motors Company to acquire the Saturn brand, citing concerns directly related to the future supply of vehicles beyond the supply period it had negotiated with GM. Today’s disappointing news comes at a time when we’d hoped for a successful launch of the Saturn brand into a new chapter.

General Motors issued a short statement announcing that it is proceeding to the next step with respect to the sale of Saturn. A number of potential buyers have surfaced and expressed interest in the Saturn brand and retailer network.

Having already taken the decision to close its Pontiac brand, General Motors has now announced that it will proceed with the sale of Saturn. Reports in the Detroit News suggest that GM would have a stake in the new company grouping Fiat, Chrysler and GME operations if the deal goes through.

However, as green cars become more mainstream could it mark the end for exclusive green car brands? It appears that it is no longer viable for companies to designate one of their brands as green because advanced fuel efficient technology is expected across their range. However, this plan has now seemingly fallen by the wayside.

Saturn V, the most capable rocket ever flown, was fully expendable and could launch up to 118 metric tons (~260,000 lb) into orbit. With the first Florida Mechazilla now close to completion, it’s likely that Pad 39A’s Starship launch site will be ready and waiting as soon as NASA gives SpaceX the green light.
