T&E: Denmark, Luxembourg, Netherlands lead deployments of zero-emission buses in Europe

Denmark leads the way when it comes to putting zero-emission urban buses on the streets in Europe, with 78% of new vehicles being electric, according to the latest data from green NGO Transport & Environment. In Luxembourg and the Netherlands about two-thirds of new buses were zero-emissions.

Volvo Cars successfully places first green bond, raises €500M

The proceeds of the bond will be used to fund the design, development and manufacturing of fully electric cars in line with the company’s recently established Green Finance Framework. The settlement date is expected to be 7 October 2020 and the bonds will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

Volvo Cars raises €500M for electrification through second green bond issue

The bond matures on 31 May 2028, pays a fixed coupon of 4.25%, equivalent to 291 basis points above mid-swap, and will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. In 2020, Volvo Cars established a Green Finance Framework in alignment with the ICMA Green Bond Principles.

Tesla delivered ~5,500 Model S worldwide in Q3, more than 1,000 to European customers; non-GAAP profit narrows and GAAP loss widens from Q2

CEO Elon Musk said that Tesla is continuing to expand production and plans to deliver slightly less than 6,000 Model S vehicles in Q4, which would increase total expected deliveries to 21,500 vehicles worldwide for 2013. Non-GAAP automotive gross margin (excluding zero emission vehicle or ZEV credits) rose to 21% from 14% last quarter.
