VIA launches electric vehicle assembly plant in Mexico

Next-gen Chevy Volt EREV is more efficient, with 50-mile electric range

Chevrolet unveiled the second-generation Volt extended range EV at the North American International Auto Show. The new propulsion system will offer a General Motors’-estimated total driving range of some 420 miles and with regular charging, owners are expected to travel more than 1,000 miles on average between gas fill-ups.

GM launches Volt field quality assessment and service programs

General Motors is rolling out the Volt In-Field Quality Assessment Program, which will run to the end of June, as General Motors concludes its production plant start-up phase. Exceptions will be made for Volts that have been selected for extended testing at the factory.
