The NYPD already uses electric scooters and electric powered golf carts on boardwalks, in parks and some transit hubs. As part of its selection as the supplier of New York City’s Taxi of Tomorrow, Nissan is working with the City and taxi owners on a pilot program to study the use of zero-emission electric vehicles as taxis.

Capitol Hill made for a strange sight earlier this week as it was surrounded by everything from two-seat sports cars to vehicles that resembled golf carts and bucket trucks. One of the most impressive vehicles on display was the ZENN - which stands for Zero Emission No Noise. Of course this wasn’t just a showcase event.
