Denmark-based Everfuel A/S has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with an undisclosed German-Norwegian shipping company for collaboration on hydrogen supply to a new zero-emission shipping solution. Everfuel is well-positioned to provide maritime fueling solutions across Scandinavia and Europe.

In Denmark, Air Liquide inaugurated HyBalance, a pilot site for the production of carbon-free hydrogen. Besides industrial customers, the hydrogen that is produced is used to supply the network of five hydrogen stations installed and operated by the Copenhagen Hydrogen Network (CHN), a subsidiary of Air Liquide in Denmark.

Reinforcing the commitment to the FID, Ørsted has taken full ownership of FlagshipONE by acquiring the remaining 55% stake in the project from Liquid Wind AB, the original developer of the project. Excess heat from the e-methanol production process will be delivered back to Övik Energi and integrated in their district heating supply.
