The Electrification Coalition released two case studies outlining how two cities— Houston, Texas and Loveland, Colorado —are saving money by using electric vehicles (EVs) in their vehicle fleets. found that the city’s LEAFs will cost 41% less to own and operate than gasoline-powered vehicles.

In a recent press release, the Leawood Police Department in Kansas announced that it had acquired a Tesla Model Y Long Range for its fleet. The vehicle would be used as one of the Leawood PD’s patrol cars. This estimate was based on the 2021 cost of $0.08 Tesla-Kansas City was great.

The California Energy Commission unanimously adopted the 2013-2014 Investment Plan Update to support the development and use of green vehicles and alternative fuels. These incentives help to pay the difference between the cost of alternative-fuel vehicles and conventional vehicles.
