These products are now qualified and available for sale through the Transphorm web site to approved customers. Transphorm is the first to provide a qualified 600 volt GaN solution to inefficient power conversion. The GaN products come in industry-standard packages and are designed for optimum high-frequency switching.

The following Transphorm products are now available for sale as evaluation samples through the Transphorm website to approved customers: TPS30xxPK series – 600 V, 2-4-6 A, GaN diode in the industry standard TO-220 package. TPH3006PS- 600V, 180 mohm GaN transistor in the industry standard TO-220 package.

Exact hydrogen consumption depends on the specific coal being processed, and the extent of conversion. The process heat necessary for the extraction, hydrotreating and distillation steps could be obtained from concentrated solar power or non-carbon electricity. Direct liquefaction also requires substantial quantities of hydrogen.

Plus more people are installing rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, and clean wind power is vastly expanding nationally (see study by eminent environmentalist Lester Brown cited at CalCars Kudos ). Many more heavy-duty vehicle conversions (including three recycling dump-trucks that will run in "silent" mode for pickups) are in progress.
