CARB preliminarily awards Port of Los Angeles $41M to launch zero-emissions hydrogen-fuel-cell-electric freight project; total cost $83M

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has preliminarily awarded $41 million to the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) for the Zero-Emission and Near Zero-Emission Freight Facilities (ZANZEFF) project. Two new large capacity heavy-duty hydrogen fueling stations will be developed by Shell in Wilmington and Ontario, California.

J.B. Hunt to purchase 10 battery-electric, 3 hydrogen fuel cell electric Class 8 trucks from Nikola

will purchase 13 Nikola zero-emission Class 8 trucks as the transportation company focuses on its sustainability efforts and reducing the intensity of its carbon emissions.
