Arc is a very new company – it was founded in 2021 in Los Angeles, and is targeting the luxury boat market with high-powered electric boats.

We chatted while he finished charging his LEAF at the recently installed Quick Charger at the new Market Street Whole Foods in San Francisco. After a while driving electric became it’s own reward. Bill lives a good 60 miles from San Francisco, so he needs to get some juice to make his trip home after work. That’s really too bad.

In the luxury car market you can feel that the ground has begun to shift. After numerous awards and accolades, it seems fair to say that the best luxury car is an electric car. The electric Infiniti has been “postponed,” and BMW is entering the market with a car that doesn’t challenge Tesla. It’s also grid-friendly.

And without cheap oil, corn would not have become Big Corn, the big agricultural combines (principally ADM and Cargill). Now corn is making a play for a chunk of the transportation market once surrendered to Big Oil. They have had a tough time dealing with the influx of cheap American corn since NAFTA. You can't eat electricity.
