We now have a sprinkling of promising companies working to get funded to convert gas-guzzlers. And oil only seems cheap. Pioneering companies now have designs to turn gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles into all-electrics or plug-in hybrids, depending on how they’re built and the range their drivers need.
