Azure Dynamics selects Lotus for assembly support for Transit Connect Electric

Azure Dynamics Corporation has selected Lotus Lightweight Structures, a division of Group Lotus plc, to provide assembly support for the Transit Connect Electric for the European market. On a full charge, Transit Connect Electric has a range between 80 km/50 miles and 130 km/80 miles depending on auxiliary power usage and drive cycle.

Azure Dynamics Corporation announced that its Norwegian Ford dealership, RøhneSelmer, has signed an order for an additional 100 Transit Connect Electric vans. With a 28 kWh battery pack, Transit Connect Electric has a top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) and a range of up to 130 km (80 miles) on a full charge.
