Mazda North American Operations announced that the 2023 Mazda MX-30 EV will be arriving in California dealerships this spring, with a starting price of $34,110. Equipped with Mazda’s e-Skyactiv technology and a 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, the MX-30 has an EPA-estimated range of 100 miles on a full charge.

In July 2022, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) reported that it had sold 23,393 vehicles. Without the sales of its all-electric MX-30 crossover, Mazda would have sold 23,385 vehicles instead. As noted by the Japanese automaker in a press release , Mazda’s July 2022 sales represented a decrease of 28.5% year-over-year.

Mazda Motor Corporation will begin leasing the Demio EV in October 2012. The Demio EV is an independently developed electric vehicle based on the Mazda Demio (known outside of Japan as Mazda2). The SKYACTIV-D-equipped diesel version will follow in the second half of the year, making Mazda the first Asian manufacturer to offer a modern-technology clean-diesel engine in a non-commercial vehicle in North America.
