Zhejiang Geely Holding Group set a new export sales record in December with 11,000 cars being exported during the month, which also helped the company increase its export sales over the course of 2012 by 164%. Geely’s current major overseas markets include Ukraine, Russia, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

AvtoVAZ, the largest automaker based in Russia, a part of Rostec Corporation, introduced three new LADA concept cars at the Moscow International Motor Show 2014. While international sales declined in recent years, Russia was able to export more than 38,000 assembly kits to Egypt between 2002 and 2013.

Earlier this month, Fisker signed an exclusive agreement with the Al-Futtaim Group, one of the Middle East’s most experienced automotive distributors, to build Fisker’s sales presence in fast-growing markets for performance and luxury cars. The car allows the driver to manually select all-electric or hybrid-electric drive modes on demand.

Nissan’s Datsun brand will unveil a new car in Jakarta, Indonesia on 17 September—the first of two models to go on sale in Indonesia in 2014.
