Strategic Biofuels successfully tests carbon capture and storage for renewable diesel plant

Strategic Biofuels announced that its Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) Test Well Program was successfully completed at the company’s Louisiana Green Fuels Project (LGF) in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. LGF is the first renewable diesel fuel project to achieve this milestone.

Air France KLM signs 210M gallon SAF offtake agreement with DG Fuels

DG Fuels (DGF), a provider of cellulosic drop-in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), signed a multi-year SAF offtake agreement with Air France KLM for up to 60,408 metric tons (21 million gallons) per year from DGF’s initial plant to be located in Louisiana. DGF’s cellulosic feedstock does not impair food supply and is essentially water neutral.

DOE awarding $1.6B to 11 battery materials separation and processing projects as part of $2.8B funding

This project will expand Anovion’s existing manufacturing capacity in Sanborn, NY—notably the only qualified US source of battery-grade synthetic graphite commercially shipping product today. USDA provides $91M loan guarantee to Cool Planet for biogasoline blendstock plant; biomass pyrolysis and catalytic conversion

USDA has reached an agreement with Silicon Valley Bank to provide a $91-million Biorefinery Assistance Program loan guarantee to Cool Planet to help the company finish construction on an advanced biofuel plant at the Port of Alexandria in Louisiana.
