70% of the energy from burning fossil fuel is wasted as heat, while only 30% goes to turn your wheels. So after we use all that electricity pumping oil out of the ground, refining it, transporting it, we then waste 70% when we burn it. These cars and trucks have internal combustion engines that are extremely inefficient.

Just two people live in its 3000+ energy-wasting square feet. It’s just this mind-blowing waste of time. You pay your taxes on-line. You pay your corporate taxes on-line. THE HOLY GRAIL OF SOLAR: $3 A WATT, CHEAPER THAN COAL. And at sub $3 you’re cheaper than coal. Move big amounts of money around.

Working with Heidi, cities have been gathering data from Southern California Edison, The Gas Company, waste haulers and other contractors using Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) software, which was developed for specifically compiling this diverse data. Again, I’m thinking how handy that would be to me here in Torrance.

The combination of harvesting whole forests and burning long-sequestered carbon sources such as coal or oil has impaired the Earth’s carbon cycle at an increasing pace. To ignore this potential is wasteful and foolish. It is wasteful and destructive to be burning this versatile molecule; we must stop.

Can these things add up to make a car that people want to buy? It seems like it still may be cheaper to just buy a well used Lotus Elise and modify it yourself. I also think it will be cheap, which is why I think someone will buy the group. Small size. New technology. An (expected) high price tag. A troubled company.

You can buy it now. How many millions have they spent to develop a vehicle that you cant buy, that no one is prepared to service and that most Americans wouldnt want if you gave it to them? No, if you look at the picture it actually has 6 wheels but drives on 2 to waste energy. A steering wheel would save big bucks. Maybe three.

Despite this, a 2003 EPRI study , assuming only $2/gallon gas , zero buying incentives, and a PHEV premium of $3-$5,000 more than standard hybrids, shows that the total lifetime cost of ownership for a PHEV will be lower than that of any other vehicle type -- so the payback will be there. Better yet, make a tax-deductible contribution.
