Jo has done an excellent job of "pimping" the ride, the original kit from Blue Sky Designs in Oregon. Jerry is the owner of a PHEV Prius with Plug in Supply conversion kit, plus solar panels on the roof installed by Bob Bruninga, Naval Academy engineering professor. It also has floor brakes and accelerator.

“The Toyota Prius took over five years to reach break-even and has gone on to be a wild success.&# So the Volt would cost $32,500–not so much more than what people are reportedly paying for the Prius. and Chrysler. Sure, it can handle most commutes on the battery, but who commutes in this? It looks like an Epcot attraction.

For years now, inventors and sellers of electric car conversion kits have been blasting traditional automakers for not providing the 100 m.p.g. . will be unveiling its IDEA, a 100 miles-per-gallon plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The 100 m.p.g. mark has pretty much been the Holy Grail in the land of alternative vehicles for some time.
