Elon Musk ‘s vision for personal mobility is cars running on clean fuel and driving themselves. He has got the fuel bit right with battery-operated Tesla cars recharging on electricity generated from solar or nuclear energy (revealed last year in the ‘nuclear diamond battery’).

Of these 4,600, 425 charging pointswere installed by govt, 1,580 by private persons and2,684 charging points installed by other agencies andbusiness owners.

President and CEO Takanobu Ito unveiled the Fit EV Concept electric vehicle and the platform for a mid-size plug-in hybrid electric vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Battery recharging can be accomplished in less than 12 hours when using a conventional 120-volt outlet, and less than six hours when using a 240-volt outlet.
