After some significant debate at the Civic-EV Google Group on whether to use a clutched or clutch-less system, I'm going to pursue using a clutched system for the initial revision of this kit. With a clutched system, I just order the shaft and transmission adapter from Electro Auto and everything is just done.

The base model Prologue EX (single motor) starts at $47,400 with 296 miles EPA range rating. The dual motor version costs $51,795 (including dest.) That goes up to $56,095 for the dual-motor variant. Meanwhile, the FWD (single motor) Prologue variants include 212 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. with up to 281 EPA miles range.

Because of Hondas different architecture (the engine runs whenever the motor runs), aftermarket conversion of Hondas are unlikely. As for warranties , there is legal precedent that original auto warranties cannot be voided completely by modifications — only the part(s) affected by retrofit will have their warranties affected.
Porsche 914 EV Conversion

I find out this morning from Ross Cunniff (who also recently completed the 914 AC kit), that he has had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS with his CCPower DC-DC converter. Since I finished the first kit, Electro Auto didn't want to replace my unit because they wanted me to find out more information before I simply blew up another one.
