Last week at China’s Auto Shanghai motor show, Aston Martin Lagonda revealed the final production-ready iteration of its first all-electric production car, the Rapide E. This battery system powers two rear mounted electric motors producing a combined target output of just over 610PS and 950N·m of torque.

The new gearbox is coupled with a front transversal electric motor of 70 kW in the e-Vito and is developed with two-stage reduction with a total reduction ratio of 1:8.29. The gearbox ratio was developed to permit a maxim vehicle speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) at a maximum motor speed of 8,000 rpm.

Alset Global launched its Hybrid Hydrogen technology in May at the ADAC Zurich 24 Hours of Nürburgring race, in Germany, where the system was fitted to an Aston Martin Rapide S race car. This hydrogen-powered car produced around 500 PS (493 hp, 368 kW) and reached top speeds of 160 mph / 255 km/h running on pure hydrogen.
