After completion of five-cycle testing, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has rated the battery-electric Nissan LEAF with an mpg-equivalent rating of 106 city, 92 highway for a combined 99 mpge. Frito-Lay has been showcasing its latest fleet of all-electric Class 8 trucks since it took delivery of the first few of its Tesla Semis in December. It’s also the first to implement site-wide alternative fuel vehicles, on-site renewable energy generation, energy storage equipment, and employee EV charging stations.

Local Electric Driving, No Range Anxiety. Volvo has been talking about going electric a lot lately. The company plans to do it with a mixture of all-electric vehicles, like the new XC40 Recharge, and plug-in hybrid versions of its SUVs and sedans. I averaged 25 mpg over 364 miles of mostly freeway driving.
