The Los Angeles Harbor Commission recently approved up to $44.2 million in Port funding toward the 2009 Clean Truck Incentive Program at the Port of Los Angeles. Through this program we will help truck operators purchase alternative fuel trucks and continue our aggressive efforts to reduce port truck emissions.

AJR Trucking , a leading carrier for the United States Postal Service (USPS) and a major drayage carrier operating in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, has executed a purchase order for 50 Nikola Tre hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) trucks from Tom’s Truck Centers, a member of the Nikola Corporation sales and service dealer network.

GSA announced its initial purchase of more than 100 electric vehicles for a vehicle pilot. The vast majority of the funded projects are for battery-electric buses and infrastructure; two projects are receiving a total of $3.2 million for hydrogen fuel cell buses. Alabama A&M University’s Bulldog Transit System will receive funding to purchase electric buses, charging stations, and other associated equipment.
