A partnership project between the eleven leading Austrian energy suppliers and Berlin-based Hubject GmbH ( earlier post ), which is supported by the Austrian climate and energy fund, will create a comprehensively accessible network of charging stations for drivers of electric vehicles across Austria, starting in April 2017.

Volkswagen started pre-booking in Europe for the first model in its new full-electric ID. Unavoidable emissions in the production process will be compensated for by certified climate projects. The eActros 300 Tractor for distribution haulage has covered around 3,000 kilometers from the Mercedes-Benz Wörth plant to Aksaray in Turkey, where the road endurance and reliability testing of the electric truck will be taking place. Test engineers chose a route across Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria for the trip.
