Volkswagen Group delivers 42% more all-electric vehicles in the first quarter

Volkswagen Group deliveries of all-electric vehicles (BEVs) rose by 42% in Q1 2023 compared to the prior-year period, which was hit harder by supply chain issues. Europe was the biggest growth driver here with an increase of 68% to 98,300 vehicles. Around 70% of the Group’s BEV deliveries went to its home region of Europe.

Volkswagen Group deliveries of all-electric vehicles were up 25% in the first nine months year-on-year. On a regional basis, Europe clearly remained in the lead with 211,900 vehicles (58% of Group total) in the first nine months. Audi e-tron (incl. Audi Q4 e-tron (incl. in that timeframe, up from 4.2% Sportback).

Audi introduced its flagship electric SUV e-tron in 2018. Audi SQ8 Sportback e-tron quattro, Audi Q8 e-tron quattro. For both body shapes, three drivetrain variants with electric all-wheel drive can be selected. The top-end Audi SQ8 e-tron and Audi SQ8 Sportback e-tron are powered by three motors.
