Australia Prime Minister Julia Gillard unveiled Australia’s carbon pricing plan—a core element in a new clean energy plan—in a short address to the nation. Gillard said that by 2020, this would cut emissions by some 160 million tonnes per year. We have had a long debate about climate change in this country.
