Equinor contracts for first green-ammonia-fueled supply vessel; 2MW SOFC

Norway-based energy company Equinor has contracted with Eidesvik Offshore for the Viking Energy supply vessel, which is being retrofitted to make it capable of covering long distances fueled by carbon-free ammonia. The vessel will transport supplies to installations on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS). The Viking Energy.

Germany-based Li-ion manufacturer AKASOL ( earlier post ) has signed a contract for the supply of Li-ion batteries to an unnamed international commercial vehicle manufacturer in Scandinavia for its entire electric bus fleet through 2023. The first series production buses fitted with AKASOL-battery systems are expected in 2018.

BP selects Tesla batteries for pilot storage project at US wind farm
