EC approves second major battery innovation project; €2.9B (US$3.5B) from 12 member states

The project, called “European Battery Innovation” (EuBatIn) was jointly prepared and notified by Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. In 2018, the Commission adopted the Strategic Action Plan for Batteries and has promoted a wide range of initiatives as part of the plan.

BMW orders two more ENGEL moulding machines for body shell components for i3 EV

BMW has awarded ENGEL Austria another contract to supply system solutions to BMW’s Leipzig factory, where ENGEL duo injection moulding machines are used to manufacture car body shell components for the BMW i3 electric vehicle. Alstom and MOL to explore use of hydrogen technologies for rail transport in Hungary

The Coradia iLint trains have run more than 200,000 km with zero CO 2 emission in passenger service in Germany and Austria and has been successfully tested in the Netherlands.
